Poem: A Worry's Lullaby

Why I Write and Love Clean Fiction

Hello people who are reading this! As some of you may already know I have gotten into poetry a lot this past year and I wanted to share some of my work. This poem is called A Worry’s Lullaby, it has a special meaning to me so I hope you like it.

I run in the grass; I feel the wind

This is when I know my worries will end

Your warm smile lights your presence

Much like the sun lights the earth

Fluffy with a prickle the grass beneath my feet

Soon I’ll be out of breath, 1 2 3 4

This place make me happy, for sure 5 6

Spring time skip, it’s meant to be like this

I am proud of you, just keep going

Don’t let the days destroy you

Just close your eyes and it’ll be fine

This is my worry’s lullaby, a fake yet beautiful disguise

An escape, a door to your own euphoria

You got this, make this your happy place

Just close your eyes and it’ll be fine

Don’t the days going destroy you

I have returned after I felt this pain

Kind of some sort of strain

That kept running at me like a train

But after all this I won’t let it go in vain

I am running again in the same old place

My happy place, the truly serendipity state

Soon I’ll be out of breath,  1 2 3 4

This place make me happy, for sure 5 6

It is time for the end credits

It is time for the said farewells

For the happily ever after

Time to wake up
